We need one to Perform all aspects of quality assurance during the sprint cycles including test strategies, test case documentation, test data, and test execution


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in quality assurance or software development, with an emphasis on functional, regression, integration, and automation testing
  • Experience with Jira as a defect management and tracking tool
  • Prior testing background, with solid experience in developing and maintaining test automation
  • Prior experience in with SOAP, RESTful web services and manual testing would be beneficial
  • Experience with building selenium automation framework for Web
  • Proficient in a software language (Python, JS, Java)
  • Hands-on experience with automation of APIs using SOAP UI/Rest Assured or Postman
  • Good knowledge of Database and SQL queries for data validation
  • Experience in writing automated tests using Postman or SoapUI
  • Excellent understanding of the SDLC life cycle
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Browser Stack automation experience is a plus
  • Financial industry experience is a plus

Job Summary:

United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC), a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Vroom, is seeking a QA Engineer. In this role, you will be an active contributor in UACC’s SDLC and responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality/defect-free software applications. This role is expected to lead and assist the overall testing efforts through the automation of existing processes and methods in support of the quality requirements of the organization’s software products. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant automated quality assurance experience in a technical environment, have excellent communication skills, and be someone who thrives in a fast paced, work hard play hard environment.

Base Pay Range: $75-95k

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of quality assurance during the sprint cycles including test strategies, test case documentation, test data, and test execution
  • Understand, gather, and analyze requirements in a timely fashion
  • Compose high-level automated test plans for projects
  • Execute test cases and automation scripts and create/manage defects in defect tracking tools
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend QA processes and activities supporting software engineering in an agile, scrum team environment, including sprint planning, spring reviews and sprint retrospectives
  • Coordinate and communicate with offshore QA teams
  • Defect/testing results documentation and tracking within Jira
  • Occasional after-hours work in support of code-releases and coordination with offshore resources
  • Participate in use case/user story discussions/review to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Work with multiple teams and departments to better understand the products, processes, and business model with respect to the applications
  • Attend, provide updates, and otherwise actively participate in all Scrum stand ups and other team meetings
  • Find defects in software
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve

Qualifications:

3+ years' experience in quality assurance or software development, with an emphasis on functional, regression, integration, and automation testing

Experience with Jira as a defect management and tracking tool

Prior testing background, with solid experience in developing and maintaining test automation

Prior experience in with SOAP, RESTful web services and manual testing would be beneficial
