U-Haul is looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join our team.


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with UI, API and Backend testing automation
  • Experience in software development including Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, Web Services & API and Azure DevOps
  • Experience in writing test cases and scenarios that cover both sanity and in-depth testing
  • Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines and demonstrates problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner and ability to coordinate cross-team efforts
  • Degree level qualifications in a technical (or related) subject would be advantageous but not mandatory
  • Industry certifications in software testing or an interest in achieving these

Description

U-Haul is looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join our team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Automation engineer must understand all facets for software development life cycle (SDLC), and best practices in quality assurance including: smoke testing, functional testing, stress testing, test automation, and setting up a best in class testing process. As a critical thinker, you will use your skills to extract user scenarios from conversations and data and then translate your findings into automatable test plans which either you or a member of the team will automate. You will have the opportunity to own key aspects of our automation efforts, establish best practices and experiment with new ideas to deliver the highest quality product to our users. This QA Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation and automated testing of Enterprise applications within the organizations' portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new test automation opportunities and implement solutions within the software development lifecycle.
  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical business processes
  • Provide guidance through code and design reviews for automation delivered by other members of the QA and/or development team
  • Communicate with users to understand real life usage, build test cases
  • Organize and drive cross product testing
  • Monitor product and/or feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc.)
  • Works closely with senior developers, admins, and product owner to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements
  • Report any issues found in testing as well as reporting these issues to the appropriate team lead, manager and/or developer
  • Work with business application team early and throughout the SDLC to facilitate test driven development
