Piper Companies is currently seeking a Python Engineer for a fully remote, direct hire opportunity with an innovative greenfield development team at a rapidly growing healthcare analytics startup.


Qualifications of the Python Engineer:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or cloud infrastructure
  • Strong familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala
  • Strong experience with Apache Spark
  • Strong expertise with SQL
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • (Bonus) Experience with Elixir, Kafka, ElasticSearch, or RabbitMQ
  • (Bonus) Experience with JS framework, ex: Vue, React, Angular, etc.
  • Must hold U.S. citizenship or green-card


Description

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Python Engineer for a fully remote, direct hire opportunity with an innovative greenfield development team at a rapidly growing healthcare analytics startup. The Python Engineer will work with data pipelines, create scalable distributed systems, and work closely with Senior Engineers to improve data transformation services for cloud-native platforms.

The Python Engineer must be able to work EST core hours.

Responsibilities of the Python Engineer:

  • Utilize Python and AWS Lambda functions for building data pipelines
  • Work with data lakes and warehouses
  • Collaborate to design, build, and integrate REST APIs and microservices for cloud-native applications
  • Aid in the growth and development of junior engineers around cloud and data transformation best practices
