PHP Programmer / Analyst at Volanno

Volanno is seeking an intermediate PHP developer to perform programming duties including design, specifications development, and system implementation.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Software development experience in object-oriented PHP programming at intermediate or advanced level.
• Experience building web applications using the Laravel framework (version 5.2 or higher)
• Knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
• Strong database skills including writing SQL queries, writing SQL stored procedures, and optimizing queries and indexes for large data sets.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (Bitbucket).
• Strong skills working with jQuery.
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience working with AWS (preferably the EC2, S3, RDS, CodeDeploy and CodeBuild services).
• Experience working within a containerized environment such as Docker or Nanobox.
• Familiarity with consuming content by use of API.
• Familiarity with modern JS frameworks such as VueJS, React, or Angular.
• Understanding of the principles of Continuous Integration.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Ability to get public trust or higher clearance from a federal agency.
• Minimum of six years of experience as a developer working on web applications.
