JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage a team of QA Engineers through all phases of testing for our Tax platform
- Work with the automation team to improve and expand our automated test coverage
- Follow QA standards, policies, and procedures to improve knowledge density of the team
- Interact with leadership to help maintain business focus and consistent practices
- Support “shift left” of quality concerns to developers to catch issues early in the development cycle
- Drive effective resolution to escalations including post-mortem, root cause analysis and implementations to ensure long term remediation of issues
- Prioritize and engage the Product, Engineering and Program Management teams
- Lead and build test automation frameworks using ReadyAPI/SoapUI for rest-based APIs hosted on Amazon cloud, as well as contribute to the existing automated frameworks to be used by other Automation QA Engineers
- Lead the creation of test strategy, test planning, and test execution related to all aspects of testing like functional, integration, systems, end-2-end testing, accessibility, database validations and automation
- Review requirements and design specifications, and derive test strategy to validate end to end user flow journeys, reports test results, drive the defect triage process with stakeholders, while adhering to established QA and Project Management processes
- Take ownership and work proactively with minimum supervision on the QA team’s assigned testing tasks and delivering them on time and efficiently as per project deadlines
- Lead the production verification and validation activities for post-released applications
- People management responsibilities include but are not limited to hiring and staffing, coaching, and mentoring, professional development, problem solving, evaluation, and performance management.
