Linux Developer To Work on Articles at Baeldung

2 years ago Writing & Translation Middle, Senior Contract

We’re looking for a Linux developer to work on creating technical articles.

About the article (+ some examples)

=============================

We’ll usually pick articles out of the existing content calendar of the site. You can also suggest your own topics as well (and get additional compensation for that).

Here are a few examples of topics:

  • Guide to Linux jq Command for JSON Processing
  • How Long a Linux Process Has Been Running
  • How to Use Command Line Arguments in a Bash Script
  • And here's a few finished article examples:
  • Adding a Path to the Linux PATH Variable
  • Linux ps Command
  • Transfer Files Between Linux Machines Over SSH
  • You can also find the contribution guidelines on our site: https://www.baeldung.com/contribution-guidelines

Description

We’re looking for a Linux developer to work on creating technical articles.

First – you naturally need to be a developer working or actively involved in the Linux ecosystem. The articles will be code-centric, so being in the trenches and able to code is instrumental.

Second – you need a solid command of the English language.

Budget and Time Commitment

========================

Here are the typical budgets used by most authors:

Level 9

  • 1000+ words - 76$
  • 1500+ words - 85$
  • ...

Level 13

  • 1000+ words - 85$
  • 1500+ words - 95$
  • ...

Once you get started, we have a lot more budget levels (the top level is 20), based on the quality of your writeups.

In terms of time commitment, a good target is one article every 2-3 weeks - but that’s very flexible (as long as our communication is good).
