Description

Sam Hill Entertainment is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer on a part-time contract basis to lead the design of the user experience in our web applications as well as lead the general web and graphic design work that brings our brand to life.

Our User Experience Development Team is responsible for the experience of our clients, bands and internal staff when interacting with our web apps, which play an increasingly central role in how our clients find, book, and plan for bands to perform at weddings, corporate functions and private events. Our brand will also evolve as more of the industry engages with our services and bands online, and the visual elements of the brand will evolve with it.

The Position

This position represents an opportunity to own and develop the user experience and overall design strategy and aesthetic for an established brand as we transition our core business functions online.

Our UX Designer will work primarily with our Head of Strategic Solutions to translate the user needs identified by our user-facing teams into beautiful and inspiring designs that both fulfill our functional requirements and create a refreshingly smooth experience for our clients, bands and staff. This position will also work with our Director of Marketing to develop and express various visual aspects of our master brand throughout our company’s marketing materials and brand assets.

We envision this position as a long-term member of our team. As our software and marketing teams grow, we foresee this position playing an increasingly prominent role in guiding and developing our company-wide user experience development approach and mentality.

Responsibilities

  • UX Design
  • Consult with product manager to understand and define user need
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemap, user flows, and clickable prototypes to support web development
  • Deliver development-ready design files
  • Manage design direction and any additional designers
  • Analyze user feedback and activity to support enhancing the user experience
  • Assist with content development
  • Conduct competitor analysis
  • Brand and graphic design
  • Develop and maintain company style guide based on brand guidelines
  • Lead updates to company brand design
  • Design internal company brand assets, documents and templates
  • Design digital advertising content
  • Design and supervise production of occasional print marketing pieces, including company merchandise
