Lead/ MERN stack Developer at Visionary Innovative Technology Solutions

We need one to Design, implementation and deployment of new scalable and secure Node.js services

Required Skills:

MongoDB + React+ Node + Express (Good to have)

Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in this

role:

• Experienced software developer: Preferred platform: Javascript, Node.js, React
• BS degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience developing application services using Node + Mongo + Express + front-end frameworks/libraries like Canjs or React.
• 2+ years of experience building highly scalable, performant and responsive web applications
• 2+ years of experience developing applications deployed on AWS
• 1+ years of Typescript experience
• 1+ years of Golang experience (nice to have)
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• VOD Streaming experience is desired
• Experience with as much of our technology stack as possible: Node.js, Javascript, React, Express.js, Typescript, Can.js, Redis, MongoDB, Git, AWS

Job Description:

Responsibilities Include:

• This is a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
• Design, implementation and deployment of new scalable and secure Node.js services
• Refactoring and modernizing of legacy Node.js services.
• Integration of external services.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure more junior developers adhere to team’s best practices and processes
• Actively participate in the design & architecture phases of upcoming features and services
• Work collaboratively and productively with other project team members from Product, Program Management, and QA.
• Provide realistic (not optimistic) LOE estimates during Quarterly PI planning, accounting for likely set-backs and external constraints
• Prototyping of new technologies to reduce cost and increase engineer velocity.
