• Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Familiar with VMware versions 5.x thru 8x.
• Familiar with physical Nutanix or hardware hosting virtual appliances.
• Familiar with Virtualization technologies, specifically Nutanix and VMware.
• Familiar with Automation code or scripting tools.
• Familiar with ticketing systems and the value of good documentation.
• A US Citizen who can obtain a public trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS degree and 2 years’ experience.
• Familiarity and high-level support (helpdesk, ticketing, and routing efforts) of Virtualization technologies.
• High-Level understanding of Nutanix or VMware Virtualization Technologies.

1901 Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Junior Virtualization Analyst to provide Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, and Hardware support from our Blacksburg Virginia Enterprise IT Operations Center. This is a great opportunity to work with an elite team of virtualization professionals to maintain a secure environment for critical systems. Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and management of Nutanix and VMware virtualization environments.
• Provide technical guidance and support for existing Nutanix HCI, VMware, and Virtualization technologies.
• Work with vendor support independently and identify access requirements troubleshooting with Nutanix, VMware, and Hardware.
• Perform patching, hardening, and sustainment efforts for Nutanix and VMware virtualization technology stacks.
• Perform VM tasks creation/deletion, performance reviews, and recommendations by analyzing reports and knowledge base articles.
• Understand what Nutanix services do so that you can begin to do troubleshooting.
• Work in hybrid multi-location operations team administering existing production network.
• Follow, maintain, and produce in-house documentation for repeatable processes, including database feature installation, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain.
• Assist in creating automation and process improvements toward greater efficiency, reduced incidents, and proactive systems management.
• Support tickets and manage incidents, service requests, and problems through their full life cycle.
• Provide health and performance reporting to customer staff, and take appropriate actions based on trends in data.
• Document status updates and communicate to management and necessary parties.
• Document troubleshooting steps and knowledge articles for Shared Desk and Help Desk teams.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $72,000.00 - $97,200.00
