This position will report directly to the IT Development Team Lead and will assist with all functions of software coding and design.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic coding languages in the Microsoft Technology Stack, but not limited to, C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, jQuery, Vue.js, Bootstrap, and Kendo
  • Detail oriented with basic programming experience
  • Knowledge of relational databases and operating systems
  • Good working knowledge of email systems and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
  • Proven record of being a self-starter with little supervision.
  • Quick learner with technical background in cloud-native services
  • Good communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond rapidly to changes in environment and priorities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Nice to Have:

  • · Experience in developing and implementing scalable, high performance Azure cloud services solutions

Junior Software Developer

U.S. Figure Skating, the National Governing Body for the sport of figure skating, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is accepting applications for the position of Junior QA Engineer. U.S. Figure Skating is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU).

This position will report directly to the IT Development Team Lead and will assist with all functions of software coding and design. With the primary focus on learning the codebase, gathering user data, and respond to requests from senior developers.

To ensure your success, you should have knowledge of the Microsoft Technology Stack including, but not limited to, C#.NET, MS SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Microservices, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), JavaScript, MVC, and REST API. The ability to learn new technologies quickly, and the ability to work in a team environment. Ultimately, a top-class Junior Software Developer provides valuable support to the design team while continually improving their coding and design skills.

Responsibilities:

  • · Assisting the development team with all aspects of software design and coding
  • · Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills
  • Writing and maintaining code and bug fixes
  • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems
  • Responding to requests from the development team
  • Conducting development tests and writing reports
  • Assisting in the design, implement, and optimize Azure cloud service
  • Provide the maintenance and support for existing USFS applications include, but not limited to, MMS, EMS, LTS, and LMS integration in production to ensure uninterrupted services
  • Assist defects triage process and collaborate with functional team for issue resolution
  • Assist functional team with testing deliverables for quality before delivering
  • Assist Product Support team on defects triage process and collaborate with functional team for issue resolution

Compensation: Commensurate with experience; Annual Salary Range: $55,000-$71,000
