GDIT is seeking a Junior Software Developer to help support the Duplicate Identity Resolution Processing Team (DIRP-II) contract. This position is 100% remote with minimum travel possible.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Security +, must obtain within 60 days from hire date)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) in a technical/scientific field or 0+ experience
  • Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodology and practices, such as SCRUM and Kanban
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and release management using SVN and Maven
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of relational database concepts
  • Ability to apply consistent quality and security standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 7 Application Developer, Java SE certification(s)
  • Knowledge in the following areas: JEE, JDK1.7 & 1.8, JSF, Oracle 12c database, Struts, XML, Dojo, log4j, JUnit, Apache commons, IBM Mainframe, Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC), Spring MVC, Apache Tomcat 7, JBoss EAP v6.4.x.
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Knowledge of the DoD requirements for submitting a request for an Authorization to Operate and Authorization to Connect
  • Knowledge or experience with the IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management


Description

GDIT is seeking a Junior Software Developer to help support the Duplicate Identity Resolution Processing Team (DIRP-II) contract. This position is 100% remote with minimum travel possible.

The DIRP-II Junior Software Developer will contribute to maintaining and enhancing a suite of Java applications and the IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management suite that provide the core interoperability functions between the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) and external agencies. These agencies include the Veterans Administration, the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and MHS Genesis.

Note: this position is for a Junior Software Developer with 0 - 3 years experience

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Participate as a member of development team; also develop code independently
  • Must develop understanding of complex healthcare business rules and ensure those rules are correctly followed in design documents, specifications and development
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Must develop understanding of issues involved in producing releases of software components
  • Participate and contribute suggestions/ideas to the other members of the team.
  • Apply in-depth and broad technical knowledge to diverse technology areas
  • Design, preparation and execution of unit tests.
  • Quickly and effectively resolve issues reported by customers and QA testers
  • Collaborate with DMDC Enterprise teams

The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
