Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience with monitoring performance and throughput, setting baselines for acceptable performances standards while teams develop new solutions.
- Experience working in public and private clouds.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
- Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills
- Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
- Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer. This position is REMOTE but candidate must reside in Vermont, Washington D.C., Maryland or Virginia.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expert guidance on cloud architectures to tailor strategies and validate frameworks.
- Design custom solutions to each customer’s need to navigate the complex feature-rich, tiered operating environments of cloud-hosted environments to meet business needs efficiently and cost effectively.
- Work within the USCIS distributed processing environment, including Cisco/Netapp Flexpod unified computing platforms, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms, VMWare ESXi virtualization platforms and their management suites.
- Manage and monitor technologies for potential optimizations or forecasting issues.
- Develop and provide services to customers utilizing technologies, including virtual machine builds and configuration, modifying existing configurations, working with customers on requirements discovery, utilizing proper procedures, and security protocols.
- Modify and install hardware in the field to include; new server hardware to host virtualization environments, upgrades of existing or new Unified Computing environments (such as Flexpod or HyperFlex) to increase capacity or performance, and physical relocations of said hardware as needed.
- Perform storage architecting of new and existing platforms.
- Design and implement redundant systems and policies for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of appliances and stored data assets.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design next generation technology solutions, while continuing to provide architectural and engineering support to existing business capabilities on legacy systems.
- Collaborate internally to develop scalable, maintainable, consistent, highly available storage and virtualization architectures that meet business objectives and set relevant service-level agreements.
- Design and engineer comprehensive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards.
- Design the optimum storage solution based on business and technical requirements.
- Promote the use of virtual platforms.

Security Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability
- Current DHS EOD highly preferred
Physical Requirements:
Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
The projected compensation range for this position is $58,700-$65,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
