Junior Java Developer at RELX

We are seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our agXConnector Proagrica team.

Essential Skills for this role:

• Analytical skills with programming background (Concepts around Object oriented, threading, poller, queues etc.)
• 1+ year Development experience in Java 11
• Springboot including RESTful APIs and Hibernate
• SQL skills 1+ years (DDL, DML, Joins) (Postgres and MySQL)

Desirable Skills:

• CI/CD (JIRA)
• Docker
• Kubernates
• Cloud knowledge (AWS /Azure)
• Extra skills that would be a plus for our team:
• TDD / BDD
• One of our applications is written in Groovy but this is not essential just an added plus
• Thymeleaf (For frontend Portunus)
• Python
• XML / XSLT (in case they need to work on the Interlok side)

Junior Java Developer (REMOTE)

We are seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our agXConnector Proagrica team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• Complete bug fixes.
• All other duties as assigned.
