PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of a monitoring tool like Dynatrace software intelligence platform
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux/Unix environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or equivalent combination of transferable IT experience.
- Working knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately.
- Ability to document meeting minutes, action items from project status meetings.
- Ability to learn basic proficiency programming language.
- Basic proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
- Flexible team player.
Description
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Junior IT Administrator (IT Associate) position is an entry-level role which exists to provide basic support across all disciplines within IT, not limited to project management, system analysis, system design, development, data security, testing data analytics and/or data science techniques. This position will provide technical support, assist to troubleshoot problems, perform or assist with basic scripting to ensure stable and efficient operation of low complexity technology solutions. This position will interact with various IT Leaders and will be responsible for assignments to ensure efficient operation low complexity technology solutions.
- Monitoring, administration, testing, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Performs routine application deployments to Linux environment within console and command line
- Troubleshoots software and hardware issues/failures and performs remediation activities
- Research various vendor monitoring products/alternatives, such as: New Relic, Splunk

- Technical Analyst – Creates technical documents that define the software and hardware requirements needed to provide a technical solution. Works with Developers and other IT staff to document components and functional flow of components
- Analyst IT Systems – Analyzes business requirements of low complexity to determine technical requirements and identifies impacted areas/systems/processes and evaluates alternative solutions and seeks assistance from manager on issues of higher complexity. Researches general maintenance requests and recommend solutions to problems. Assists in the documentation of the business requirements that capture business needs and process scenarios, as well as in the research, documentation and clarification of the process and workflow questions.
- Systems Administration – Assists with researching, designing, implementing and testing of technology solutions. May be required to develop test scenarios and conditions based on pre-established business and technical requirements with oversight/assistance from manager. Collects data for reporting and planning. Writes low complexity programming/scripting.
- Developer – Writes basic code for simple system designs for existing programs; writes simple technical specifications for single programs; can read and understand system and functional requirements. Follow IT controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.
- Project Management – Attends project team meetings to provide support in the development of overall project plan which may include assisting with assembling of project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying resources needs and developing schedules, assisting with the monitoring of activities for reporting purposes. Actively participates in meetings to include providing input into business process analysis, needs assessment and cost-benefit analysis studies.
- General Support- Serves as an additional support liaison between the IT organization and assigned business area(s) to gain information to inform IT what the Business Areas are planning to do. Seeks guidance from manager of specific IT area before responding to IT clients to ensure proper understanding of use and implications of technology solutions. Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.
