Artemis is seeking a full-time junior Graphic Designer.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Experience supporting large, complex federal agencies, ideally VHA.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content and graphics for social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Ability to interact and engage with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Fluent in digital storytelling, technology and delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards and related laws within the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Description

Artemis is seeking a full-time junior Graphic Designer. The expanding shortages in physician specialties, nursing, pharmacy and other occupations, coupled with an aging workforce, makes it imperative that the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) maintains a first-class, competitive recruitment and retention program. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing a variety of traditional, print, video and digital communications and marketing products to support the organizational brand and help VHA’s recruitment goals.

This is a contingent hire position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and produce innovative creative content for a variety of client-owned channels on a daily basis.
  • Participate in strategic planning for creative storytelling across channels including websites, newsletters, social media and more.
  • Manage all aspects of creative production, from concept to distribution.
  • Translate complex messaging into visually appealing designs that are easy for audiences to understand and use.
  • Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to various requirements (e.g., photo dimensions, web feature stories, social media messaging) as well as deadlines of varied channels of distribution.
  • Produce a variety of communication materials including, but not limited to, brochures, posters, factsheets, promotional displays, and graphics for print, paid media, web-based or social media platforms.
  • Ensure products adhere to government visual standards for color, type, illustration, photography, animation and various print and layout techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a photo library.
  • Ensure all content adheres to Section 508 regulations.
  • Support other duties and assignments as required by clients.
