Position Description:

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Junior Front-End Application Developer to support our agile software development practice, aiding an environmentally focused Federal Government client. The agency's programs aim to promote environmental sustainability and protect the natural resources of our planet. As part of this contract, we will be supporting the agency's efforts to develop and maintain information systems that facilitate the tracking and reporting of environmental data. Our team will work closely with the agency to ensure that the information systems are secure, compliant with accessibility standards, and support the agency's business processes.

The Junior Front-End Application Developer will work with the team of software developers to ensure the successful delivery of software applications. The ideal candidate will have just graduated from college with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and have a passion for front-end web development. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work closely with business analysts, scrum masters, and other stakeholders, and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the software development team in all phases of the Agile software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure the successful delivery of software applications
• Develop software applications within the given time
• Ensure that software development methodologies and best practices are followed, and that code is maintainable, scalable, and testable
• Maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes
• Provide support to development team members, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development, and provide recommendations for new tools and techniques that can improve the development process

Remote Work Policy
