Junior DevOps Engineer at Kongregate

We need one to Build, maintain and deploy native cloud clusters of dozens of servers and containers in a scalable, highly available and redundant manner.

You Have:

• DevOps or SRE experience supporting production systems using common CI/CD strategies: [Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar]
• Experience running Linux with at least one cloud computing provider: [AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar]
• Experience with managing relational databases (at least one): [MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar]
• Experience with configuration as code practices and technologies (at least one): [Terraform, Packer, Ansible, or similar]
• Experience with at least one programming language: [Python, Ruby, C#, Java, Go, or similar]
• Working knowledge of Git

Junior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain and deploy native cloud clusters of dozens of servers and containers in a scalable, highly available and redundant manner.
• Monitor proactively for performance bottlenecks and unusual behavior to prevent application outages.
• Write good quality policies, procedures and technical documentation.
• Follow security best-practices and foster security guidelines within the organization.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’.
• Developing solutions to load and failure test staging and production environments.
• Provide on-call coverage in case of outages or service disruptions.
