This person will be involved in leading new cloud architecture designs, resulting in robust, reliable and secure cloud platform solutions and will play an integral part in advancing the Cloud eco-system and culture of technical excellence.


Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an IT environment.
  • Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment
  • Strong knowledge of emerging IT technology solutions, industry trends, and progressive operations methodology
  • Aspiration to learn cutting edge new technologies and a personal desire to learn. Home labs or personal software portfolios are highly encouraged.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Knowledge of the primary AWS/Azure/GCP services (compute / networking / security / application / storage / PaaS)
  • Deployment and operational expertise using Windows Linux
  • Experience implementing AWS/Azure/GCP services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing, routing, and firewalls
  • Designing and implementing secure cloud application environments with centralized identity management.
  • Experience working with web applications, either client-side or server-side. Experience deploying and administering any type of web applications (.Net, Angular, PHP, Ruby, node.js, etc...)
  • Hands-on scripting expertise in at least one mainstream scripting language (i.e. Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
  • Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem‐solving abilities coupled with a desire to take on a challenge
  • Strong self-awareness and self-motivation

 Description

Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00

This person will be involved in leading new cloud architecture designs, resulting in robust, reliable and secure cloud platform solutions and will play an integral part in advancing the Cloud eco-system and culture of technical excellence. As part of the team, you will be expected to participate in cloud architecture and implementation efforts, interface with vendors, develop tools and organize open source and commercial components, and development / execute on testing, to solve problems for running current and proposed processes on cloud infrastructure(s). The incumbent will learn a deep understanding in all Cloud-as-a-Service varieties including PaaS, IaaS and SaaS and an understanding of the differences between the services and where they overlap.

  • Primary Position Tasks: Listing of the primary tasks the position will be responsible for
  • Participate on team to Architect, design, develop and implement Cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Participate in the delivery of new service offerings, working closely with the development team to deliver low latency, high-performance applications
  • Create blueprints for future Cloud topologies (AWS/Azure/GCP services and interfaces) that minimize costs while maximizing performance, reliability, and manageability
  • Create, maintain and communicate the overall roadmap and solution architecture specification for various Cloud initiatives
  • Research, analyze, recommend and implement new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques to further Cloud offerings in support of our business
  • Recommend tools/approaches for manageability, zero downtime, scalability, repeatability, automation
  • Develop tools to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
  • Interpret and provide solutions to complex technologies/architectures
  • Design, implement and test robust failover and disaster recovery procedures
  • Create automated approaches and scripts for system administration tasks where possible and appropriate
  • Develop automation and orchestration capabilities which allow us to operate at scale
  • Develop clear, concise installation, configuration procedures, runbooks and contributing to the maintenance of operational standards
  • Define and document standard operating procedures and protocols from a security perspective
  • Develop, support, and document automated build and configuration management processes
  • Guide and participate in the implementation and coding of the new solutions you conceive and design
