Parsons is looking for a software engineer with backend and API software development interests or background, who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with 0 to 3 years technical experience. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
• Background in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging backend application software
• Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques
• Java and Python application development experience, specifically microservice architectures
• Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English
• Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience working with the Java Spring
• Experience RESTful web services
• Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using the Scrum methodology
• Experience with DevSecOps concepts and using CI/CD pipeline technologies.
• Previous experience with Jenkins, Docker, and Git
• Existing TS security clearance with DCID eligibility

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a software engineer with backend and API software development interests or background, who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting activity as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations Directorate.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work with space analysts and software engineers
• Design and implement backend application services and APIs
• Integrate mission applications in support of space domain operations

Salary Range:

$56,900.00 - $99,600.00
