Junior AWS Java Developer at Infosys

Exciting, remote working opportunity for a Junior AWS / Java Developer who is looking to further enhance their skills, and gain invaluable experience within public sector consulting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Java development and deployment experience.
• Experience in NoSQL and MarkLogic databases, Kafka Topic Messages, and container software and application management, i.e. Docker and Kubernetes.
• Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Jenkins, GIT, and Cloud Formation.
• Agile methodology and Scrum.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidate's that have completed a Master’s degree program strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of AWS Products, Services, and Tools, such as S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudFront, CDK, AppSync, IAM, SNS, SQS, KMS, VPC. CloudWatch and CloudTrail. CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.

• Public sector experience.
• Experience working with Healthcare Payer systems.
• Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of Java development and deployment experience, be passionate about learning new technologies, i.e. AWS, and enjoy a collaborative team environment.

Position Description:

The AWS / Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and troubleshooting high performance mission critical applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of technologies involved and SDLC models.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
