Required Skills:

  • Self-starter and flexibility to wear multiple hats on a multi-discipline Scrum Team
  • Experience developing web applications using JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSON, CSS
  • Proficiency with React and/or Angular frameworks
  • Interpersonal, organizational, oral presentation, technical writing, and software documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively on an Agile Scrum team
  • Proficient in Agile approaches to software development
  • Excellent analytical and assessment skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using React and/or Angular frameworks in large scale applications
  • Experience in deployment and troubleshooting of web applications
  • Familiarity with microservice concepts and implementation
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or similar
  • Experience using source code repositories such as git
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and Continuous Integration & Deployment

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience developing web application front ends using JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)
  • 1+ years of experience working as a member of an agile software development team (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience with continuous integration process and tools
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance is required to be considered for this position

  • Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • Experience developing satellite ground system software
  • Experience developing micro-services
  • Experience developing distributed software applications

One such opportunity is the US Space Development Agency’s (SDA) Tranche 1 Operations and Integration (T1OI) of Space and Ground SoS multi-layer and multi-segment elements of the National Space Defense Architecture (NSDA). LinQuest is committed to and has made significant investments in pursuit of diversified business portfolios which include ground segment development (e.g. ground operations and infrastructure) and NSDA SoS integration. LinQuest work scope as systems integrator (SI) will encompass broad range of NDSA T1 integrated space and ground operational functions such as enterprise management, network management, mission management, payload data management, and proliferated LEO satellite constellations monitoring that span all NSDA segments (space, ground, link, and user) in the architecture.

LinQuest is seeking talented and motivated Software Engineers to join our SDA T1 O&I team. As a User Interface Developer you will join a fast-paced team working to advance the state of the art of ground systems supporting large scale satellite operations. You will create new, and integrate and adapt existing user interfaces, using multiple programming languages and tools, to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces. Developers on this interdisciplinary team collaborate to deliver a complete software capability, covering everything from working with customers to define an operational need through deployment and training, to deliver operational capability to warfighters.

Tasking includes developing user interface standards, implementing shared user interface elements, and aiding full stack development teams in the adoption and implementation of consistent user interfaces. Developers will work on solutions leveraging modern cloud-based technology and cutting edge microservices architectures within a DevOps environment. Developers are responsible for developing features and ensuring that features remain stable via automated testing incorporated into the CI/CD pipeline; developing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) using JavaScript frameworks and libraries for configuration and data visualization; and interfacing to microservices application programming interfaces (APIs). Developers provide support for the complete software development life cycle including design, integration, technical documentation, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software design and development in JavaScript, Java and/or C# using HTML, JSON, XML and SQL
  • Design, develop, and deploy responsive user interfaces
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and subject matter experts to refine requirements
  • Provide support during the software development life cycle including design, integration, documentation, and testing
  • Coordinate with Product Owner to translate customer requirements into stories for development, test, and integration
  • Integrating with our diverse team of technical professionals to deliver solutions to our customers within an agile framework
  • The scope of work includes design, develop, and unit test functionality, regression testing, user acceptance testing, system integration, production deployment, and support on-going operations and maintenance activities
  • Work well in a team-oriented collaborative multi-office environment
