Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in English, communications, or a STEM field
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write about complex topics in a clear, concise way. As part of the interview process all candidates will be asked to provide 2 writing samples.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An interest in learning how our software and hardware tools work
  • Previous technical writing or any other professional writing experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Confluence, Git, Gerrit, JavaScript APIs or REST APIs is a plus

In this role, you will work with our senior technical writer, support staff, product managers, and engineers to generate documentation for developers and end-users. This is a great opportunity to develop your writing skills and technical knowledge at a growing and dynamic company. This position is currently full-time remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build release notes using engineering bug reports
  • Help update an online documentation site to make sure information is current and correct
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and proof documents for a wide range of audiences: end users, software developers, hardware engineers, etc.
  • Write user manuals, how-to articles, and FAQs for end users
  • Write hardware manuals and specifications for both public and NDA audiences
  • Help with ongoing UI localization efforts for our software application
  • Potential to work on API documentation if interested.
