Panzura is seeking a Jr. Software Developer to join our team! This is a full-time remote opportunity for an engineer who gravitates to system-level programming. In this role you’ll research product enhancements, create POCs to explore the adjacent possible, and implement them in the context of an Agile scrum team. We’re looking for engineers who have demonstrated the ability to work in long-lived code bases, decompose work into phased deliveries and plannable units, and mentor team members. We need engineers who have a conceptual understanding of OS internals and file systems and have experience with Unix kernel or user space development, distributed locking, multithreaded programming and related skills.

About the Role:

• Initially, join a team of engineers who will help you gain product component expertise as you troubleshoot, debug, and resolve assigned customer issues.
• Lead and participate in technical discussions within your team and across functions to research, evaluate, and scope potential CloudFS product initiatives.
• Design, plan, implement, and test vetted CloudFS product enhancements in the context of an Agile scrum team.
• Apply your skills and up-to-date technologies to advance engineering practices and operational improvements within the organization.
• Create proof of concept projects that reveal the adjacent possibilities.
• Decompose work into phased deliveries and plannable units.
• Identify and coordinate dependencies.
• Deliver value, validated by unit tests, iteratively over time.
• Communicate technical information appropriate to the audience receiving it.
• Work in long-lived code bases.
