Education and Experience

• Entry level experience of Development using cutting edge development tools in C# and/or JAVA
• Knowledge of Agile methodology for software development.
• A plus is any certifications in any of the following technologies:
• Azure Certification
• AWS Certification
• Google Cloud Platform Certification
• Windows (70-412, 70-740, 70-741, 70-742)
• CompTIA Linux+
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Entry level experience coding in C# and/or JAVA
• Capable of coding, performing builds, and rollouts
• Experience with algorithms and data structures
• Understanding of object-oriented programing
• Entry level experience to code using highly abstract design principles.
• Exposure to or experience with third party development frameworks desired
• The ability to learn new frameworks in a short period
• Entry level knowledge of database development.
• SQL development
• Understanding of database concepts
• Ability to create/maintain database objects
• Query tuning
• Database locking
• Reasonable understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, integration testing, and deployment using cloud technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Trained using Agile Methodologies.
• A plus is any understanding of Mainframe and Cloud technologiesExperience:
• Software Development education and or training: 1 year (Required)

Jr. Software Developer - Entry level - Full-time Remote $50k with full benefits

The Jr. Software Developer / Software Migration Specialist (SMS) is an entry level position for our Factory mainframe conversions (Astadia IP includes CodeTurn, DataTurn, DataMatch, and TestMatch). The SMS works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with internal and external personnel in area of expertise. The SMS converts efforts of critical, industry-class, on-house, or commercial products as well as tooling for use in project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interface with internal team members and clients to develop custom applications and/or enhancements to current product lines, resolve product issues.
• The Factory SME will be trained and work our software stack for clients to perform mainframe refactors to C# or JAVA.
• Document requirements, use cases, system design and code
• Work on multiple concurrent projects to completion on-time and on-budget
• Work closely with team members and clients to achieve desired results
