We are looking for an ambitious back-end developer with a sense of humor that will complement our existing killer team.

Skills and Expertise

• Design and maintain the overall architecture of web applications
• Maintain the quality and integrity of large amounts of sensitive data
• Understand and implement web security protocols
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to develop and launch new products/features with a "Time To Market" mentality
• Maintain code integrity and organization through frequent refactoring and reviews
• Experienced with PHP and good understanding MVC architecture frameworks like Symfony or Laravel
• Must have experience with MySQL
• Versioning using Git

Nice to have:

 DevOps experience/Docker/Ansible, experience working with cloud services providers such as: DigitalOcean, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, etc.

Description

We are looking for an ambitious back-end developer with a sense of humor that will complement our existing killer team. We are looking for someone with a focus on back-end PHP and has a good understanding of the MVC model. A lot of this job will include not just integrating with SOAP and REST APIs, but also developing our own internal REST APIs. We're looking for someone that understands that the best way to code is by deleting code and that the code you do write should be as small, re-usable, and modular as possible. Great communication is key! We will need you to be able to prove you are self-driven and be able to operate independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone to join our collaborative team, not for us to be your client. While this position is not a full-time employment, this can be a full-time contract. The ideal candidate will be able to work 40+ hours a week, but we will still consider developers at 20+ hours a week.
