Jr Full Stack Java Software Developer at Leidos
We are in search of a Jr Full Stack Java Software Developer skills to join our team at the Civilian Health Solutions Operation in Bethesda, MD.
Experience & Skills:
- knowledge of Java, Spring, SQL with some front-end work also (preferably with Bootstrap but any modern UI framework)
- Able to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-pace environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science or IT related discipline (or Equivalent - 4 additional years of related work can be substituted for degree) and 2 years of related experience
Desired:
- Experience with Object oriented design and development, data structures and design patterns
- Experience with Automated unit test (i.e. jUnits, jsTestDriver, mocks) and test driven development (TDD)
- Knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities and how to address them
- Hands on experience with Splunk
- preference for angular 2 or higher
Clearance Requirements:
- Requires ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

We are in search of a Jr Full Stack Java Software Developer skills to join our team at the Civilian Health Solutions Operation in Bethesda, MD. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team to conceptualize, design, implement, and maintain large enterprise applications for our Federal health customers using the JEE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Hibernate, Angular 8 or higher, Bootstrap, SOAP/RESTful, XML, PL/SQL, SonarQube, Git (Stash) and JIRA in an Agile software development environment.

tasks Include:
As part of an Agile team, the candidate will be accountable for creating maintainable, adaptable, and scalable, defect free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e. software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, TDD, static code analysis, peer/code review). Candidate will support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
The candidate will participate in all the agile ceremonies and support the development of user stories, acceptance criteria and other software engineering artifacts as part of an Agile team. Candidate will create and update all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing. Candidate will present designs using UML and be willing to challenge other team member’s designs as well as receive and incorporate feedback. The candidate will also assist in troubleshooting and fixing issues from the production environment. The candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently be willing/able to step up to work on any tasks (not just development, but testing etc.)
This position requires someone who is proactive and passionate about delivering high quality, user friendly software solutions and continuous improvement and can effectively communicate and collaboration with agile teams and customers.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
