QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Math, or Engineering) or work experience in developing software applications
• Able to work independently
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to remain friendly and professional during periods of high frustration.
• Must be able to use common business tools/software applications
• Must have a reliable Internet connection.
• Must have a good understanding of Agile principles and the SCRUM process.
• Must have a good understanding of database schemas, sql, and query optimization.
• Must have a good understanding code repository management

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 25% Travel Required (Domestic and/or International)
• Ability and desire to adapt and acquire the skillset needed to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company
• Other Duties as assigned

Education Advanced, Inc. is an educational technology company that seeks to transform school processes by allowing educators to focus more of their time on what matters most: their students! Education Advanced, Inc. is developing unique web and mobile applications that help make the job of test coordination, budget planning, and staff and scheduling more efficient.

The ideal candidate is an excellent problem solver, friendly, and capable of working independently with minimal management. Other necessary skills include the ability to communicate clearly, documentation of problems/solutions, and work with users of varying technical skill levels. Candidate’s primary focus will be to create and maintain applications, scripts, and stored procedures in a variety of languages. This position is an entry level position with possible career progression to more senior development positions.

*ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

CODE

• Creates programs/applications in computer languages
• Creates test cases
• Participates in DevOps activities
• Maintains existing programs/applications
• Troubleshoots and resolves code defects
• Creates database schemas, stored procedures, and sql script

COLLABORATE

• Collaborates with team members on product issues and improvements
• Provides feedback on product design
• Works as team member with other developers and stakeholders

DOCUMENT

• Creates documentation on feed processing component
• Creates documentation for newly created code

PARTICIPATE

• Participates in on-line meetings with co-workers and customer
• Attends and participates in reoccurring video conference meeting
• Participates in Sprint ceremonies
• May be asked to assist with Product Owner or Scrum Master duties

CREATE

• Creates new applications and scripts
• Creates new stored procedures

MAINTAIN

• Maintains custom applications and script
