The Creative Strategist will work with a Creative Lead and Program Manager to help lead the Waze ‘voices’ partnership program, helping define the best possible experiences for users through merchandizing, content management and program development.

This is a project-based ad-hoc role for a Jr. Creative Strategist/Analyst at Waze in NYC. To support the Brand Team, responsible for getting the best of Waze out in the world, where people see us and are excited by the things we say and do. We are a small but motivated bunch of people that always try to punch above our weight. We chase down ideas that excite us and push the boundaries of what we’re individually and collectively capable of. We are looking for self-starters with an entrepreneurial edge and a strong inclination towards using creative thinking to help the brand live up to its potential.

  • The Jr. Creative Strategist’s/Analyst primary role is to intimately understand our audience and develop products, programs and experiences that connect with them in a meaningful way. This role needs to be committed to furthering the Waze brand, making sure we turn up in helpful, insightful and neighborly ways, regardless of channel.
  • The Creative Strategist will work with a Creative Lead and Program Manager to help lead the Waze ‘voices’ partnership program, helping define the best possible experiences for users through merchandizing, content management and program development.
  • This role requires the ability to understand a wide range of cultural touchpoints, partner motivations and innovative curation, helping connect fans to personalities and properties that they love, while driving business changing impact.
  • An in-depth knowledge of user behavior is important and you should also have experience in creatively solving business problems from brief to conception and production. Ultimately, the Creative Strategist will ensure strong brand experiences by delivering crazy good work on time, every time.
  • This role suits somebody who listens well and leads by example. Somebody who enjoys getting their hands dirty and knows a good amount of stuff but also knows what they don’t know.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Work experience over 6 - 10 years as a Creative Strategist or similar role

    Solid examples of business changing strategy.

  • Projects that highlight conceptual and strategic thinking
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate well with a team
  • Preferred: In-house creative strategy or analyst experience
  • Preferred: People management experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help lead brand programs through a mix of curiosity, pragmatism and vision.
  • Work autonomously with cross functional teams like B2B, Analytics & Measurement, Marketing and Insights to drive effectiveness and understanding of our audience behavior and impact.
  • Develop thought leadership content and programs with global impact beyond your day-to-day focus
  • Partner with internal and external teams to uncover challenges and specific opportunities to develop creative-driven solutions that users love.
  • Increase user friendliness in digital experiences like websites and mobile apps
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all Marketing projects
  • Collect, analyze and distribute program performance metrics and creating analytic reports to be shared cross-functionally
