The IT Citrix Jr Engineer (Operator) duties monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Experience upgrading and patching the Windows environments to meet security
  • Experience in Windows client support, such as Active directory, DNS, DHCP, Networking protocols, Remote desktop services.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Networking and Linux for advanced troubleshooting.
  • English proficiency (written and spoken)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work under pressure
  • Able to work alone and as a team member.

Description

The IT Citrix Jr Engineer (Operator) duties monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies. They are responsible for any issues related to applications, network, and storage. Must be capable of managing performance and preventing and fixing any errors that occur within the Citrix service. He/she should verify the applications for deployment via Citrix. The engineer is responsible for taking care of all the administration tools in the Citrix environment, as well as developing new virtualization images based on customer needs. He/she should have proficiency in ITIL and other IT operational frameworks. He/she should be able to provide all the necessary support for a Citrix Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility is Level 1 support for Citrix platform which can include networking, applications, the database, storage, active directory, DHCP, DNS, Windows OS, etc.
  • Implement and maintain new golden images based on new customers or conversion efforts
  • First point of contact to solve incidents and problems related to Citrix platform
  • Apply, verify, and monitor changes required by the operations to comply with SLAs.
  • Checking and controlling the server, and offering solutions to its problems
  • Determining the increased cases received by the IT Helpdesk
  • Working with Sr Engineers and Architects to improve and adjust the Virtual Desktop system
  • Design and implement platform security
  • Taking part in upgrading and updating the system's applications, installing, and testing applications and updates.
  • Providing technical assistance for all the users, desktops, and services that use the virtualization platform
  • Maintaining and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop infrastructure
  • Executing helpdesk calls and classifying cases according to their priorities and accelerations
  • Keeping themselves updated with the changing technologies.
  • Create new VDI builds based on customer requirements, as well as participate in converting existing traditional builds to a virtualized approach.
