DroneUp is seeking a Junior Analyst (Jr. Analyst) to join their growing team of innovators!


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or in combination with Finance and/or technical degree
  • 3+ years of general business experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role (interacting with external) preferred
  • 1+ years working on transformational initiatives involving product, engineering, strategy, marketing, etc.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects
  • Experience in budgets, business cases, and basic financial concepts
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and data visualizations
  • Ability to establish and maintain a prominent level of both internal and external customer trust and confidence especially with stakeholders
  • Strong experience in documentation (pivot tables, reports) using MS Office, Visio, Google suite
  • Experience using Miro, Mural, or any other design thinking tool preferred
  • Able to create simple reports in excel or other tools (PowerBI or Tableau) or the ability to learn the tools preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail

This position also requires the following essential functions:

Description:

DroneUp is seeking a Junior Analyst (Jr. Analyst) to join their growing team of innovators! This Analyst will be a part of the Digital Transformation team and will collaborate with various internal departments as well as external stakeholders (industry) to help perform research (benchmarking); gather, interpret, and analyze data; create and analyze models; as well as provide solutions that help the organization achieve its goals. The ideal candidate will also collaborate cross functionally with both business and technical teams to identify opportunities to improve the business operations. Opportunities for this Analyst include moving into a Sr. Analyst, Business Analyst, or Technical-Computer System Analyst role.

Responsibilities

  • Work internally with the IT organization and, potentially cross functionally with any part of the organization (i.e., technical teams such as engineering, R&D, etc.) and business teams (i.e., marketing, HR, finance, strategy, ePMO)
  • Perform industry research, benchmarking, industry interviews
  • Act as a backup providing assistance to the Sr. Business Analyst on the following: analysis value stream mapping, process mapping, identifying process and system gaps, and creating workflows to solve business and technical problems
  • Support digital transformation research, proof of concept, piloting, and project/program implementation (entire lifecycle)
  • Support vendor demos, vendor selection, value chain analysis, and quantitative analysis
  • Support training and write instruction manuals and playbooks
  • Assist with requirements as well as project/program documentation and presentations
  • Build presentations (PowerPoints) as need be for the Digital Transformation team
  • Other duties as assigned
