Seeking a mid-senior Java developer to work a mission critical system in Rockville MD.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years of experience developing Java/J2EE applications and services in a dynamic team environment
• Must be proficient in various Java frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, Apache CXF, XML Beans or JAXB
• Must have experience with JDK 1.7 or higher
• Must be proficient in SQL and experience with TOAD or SQL Developer
• Must have experience with build and deployment tools such as GitLab, Maven, Jenkins

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience using JIRA for issue tracking
• Experience developing SOAP or REST services
• Experience using SoapUI or other tools for testing services

Other:

• Must have the ability to obtain public trust security clearance
• US citizen only
• Remote work but may require in-person meetings periodically

Description

Seeking a mid-senior Java developer to work a mission critical system in Rockville MD. The system transfers large amount of data from an external government agency, processes the information through complex business logic, and provides various responses back to the external government agency using web services. This role includes analyzing complex business requirements, design and develop solutions to meet the requirements, communicate & coordinate technical tasks and troubleshooting activities with others within the team as well as external teams. Candidate should have strong technical and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
