We are looking for a Java Developer to join a leading data science firm that provides high-end analytic consulting services to the public and private sectors.

Qualifications for the Java Developer:

• 3+ years of experience with Core Java / J2EE backend development and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related field) or relevant, related work experience
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Familiarity with a JavaScript front-end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue
• Experience writing unit test cases (JUnit, NUnit, etc.) required
• Proficient knowledge and experience with JPA mandatory
• Work authorization: Green Card Holder or US Citizen

Description

Piper Companies is looking for a Java Developer to join a leading data science firm that provides high-end analytic consulting services to the public and private sectors. This role is a direct placement opportunity and will be fully REMOTE, the candidate must sit in the US.

Please, NO C2C applications. Working with W2 only.

Responsibilities for the Java Developer:

• Perform hands-on development work using Java, HTML, and JSP, as well as design systems and components on JBoss and Tomcat
• Take part in and engage in design meetings and code reviews
• Write clean and efficient code based on feature specifications
• Develop mid-tier JAVA 7 both SOAP & REST API services
• Take part in an Agile development process, at times may need to lead these efforts. As well as contribute to all phases of a full SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
• Proactively address technical issues and possible risks that could affect the project schedule and/or integrity of the app environment…. Debugging and troubleshooting technical issues required
• Define and analyze requirements to visualize features and functionality, as well as assist in the development of technical documentation that supports the maintenance and/or uses

Compensation/Benefits for the Java Developer:

Compensation: 120k/yr.
