Become an Outcoder as a Java Automation Developer:

These will be your primary/secondary responsibilities:

• Understand requirements and provide inputs for test planning during the grooming sessions.
• Provide comments and documentation for automation tests.
• Following the coding standards.
• Consistently writes easily testable tests.
• Help Team Members with Test environment creation on Squadron.
• Able to debug remote failures and do root cause analysis for failures by themselves.
• Understand Data Model and Test for components under test.
• Make sure pre/post-deployment tasks such as configuration changes are performed.
• Deliver feedback on QA processes, Code Reviews, and testing tools.
• Commits to addressing all the comments before merging Pull Requests.
• Plan the testing work ahead of sprints and work with the team on action items to resolve testing issues discovered in retrospectives.
• Works with juniors in the team to elevate their relationship-building efforts.
• Start facilitating the delivery of tickets to prod.
• Holds broader knowledge of the product.
• Should be able to provide inputs to plan and strategize testing and automation at the beginning of the project.
• Understands generic testing patterns and uses them to plan the testing effort.
