We're looking for a 'hands-on' Head of Product Design to lead our design team across all product segments, Clubs, Agents and Players.


Who you are:

  • Have a vast amount of experience in product design with the responsibility of executing at every stage of the design lifecycle from research to ideation to delivery

  • Experienced leading Designers

  • Experience with product design for SaaS platforms and ideally marketplace-platforms

  • The ability to run independently and give support to designers within your team

  • A portfolio that shows you’ve taken complex concepts and turned them into approachable and commercially viable solutions

  • Understanding of key business metrics and data, as well as how it connects to design

  • Problem solving skills that enable you to ask meaningful questions, analyse the data, and scope design opportunities

  • Great track record for working closely with product designers, product managers, and engineers.

  • Comfort and confidence leading group activities, and communicating decision making that cascades across platform

  • Experience working in and contributing to design systems with an eye for consistency, quality, and accessibility


Description

TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS business on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers. 

Since our launch in 2017, clubs have used TransferRoom to facilitate over 2,000 transfers, and we are proud that today over 650 clubs across 100 leagues in 60+ countries are accelerating their success on the platform. Our marketplace is also being used by over 200 football agencies and thousands of professional football players.

We're looking for a 'hands-on' Head of Product Design to lead our design team across all product segments, Clubs, Agents and Players.

Outcomes:

  • Translate business and user goals into a UX strategy and execute – by being hands-on in Figma while also being able to lead other designers.

  • Take ownership of our acquisition and growth design/UX strategy

  • Ensure that commercial thinking permeates our designs and features

  • Understand funnels, user behaviours, and identify commercial/engagement opportunities.

  • Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of our products

  • Partner with our analysts and product team to identify opportunities, define success, and prioritise requirements

  • Take a data driven approach toward identifying problems and evaluating solutions

  • Continuously identify opportunities for growth in engagement, retention and monetisation as well as finding ways to lower barriers for adoption and onboarding.

  • Bring excellent design and problem solving skills with the ability to execute

  • Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship

  • Help improve design processes and help build our growing product design team culture
