Artemis is seeking a Graphic Designer to support federal clients in the field of science innovation and technology with proven experience developing a variety of traditional and digital creative materials for large-scale communications and outreach campaigns.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in graphic design/arts
  • BS/BA degree in graphic design/art, or a related field of study.
  • Portfolio required.
  • Proven experience in managing small projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite to include, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, which currently include Zoom, Box, and Slack.
  • Translate complex messaging into visually appealing designs that are easy for audiences to understand and use.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Artemis is seeking a Graphic Designer to support federal clients in the field of science innovation and technology with proven experience developing a variety of traditional and digital creative materials for large-scale communications and outreach campaigns. The Graphic Designer will produce deliverables that help communicate topics around health care innovation and learning to a variety of internal and external stakeholders that inspire, inform or captivate an audience. Work products include, but are not limited to, data visualizations, social media graphics, infographics, flyers, fact sheets, presentations, reports and more. The Graphic Designer will also assist with defining and influencing strategy and work directly with clients to create concepts and develop designs.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, proactive problem-solver and action-oriented team player. He/she must be committed to providing superior service, poised in a fast-paced environment and have a positive and flexible attitude.

This junior-level, full-time position is fully remote. However, the Graphic Designer may be expected to travel to Washington, D.C., or other locations in the United States for meetings, events and trainings.

This is a contingent hire position.


Primary Responsibilities:

Develop products that support national integrated communications and outreach campaigns to a diverse group of stakeholders.

Create a wide range of products for communications campaigns to include presentation briefing decks, informational graphics and more to support the market intelligence outreach efforts.

Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.

Proven experience in managing small projects and meeting deadlines.


Desired Qualifications:

Experience with conceptual design, logo development, branding and marketing work in the science and technology sector.

Strong time management, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of concepting and implementation of visual elements (layout, typography and color theory).

Adept at leading design software packages, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
