Fullstack Developer at EndGame360

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate for the role of Fullstack Developer will have at least 6 years of experience developing web applications and ideally will have experience working within the Digital Media Industry.
• The final candidate will have many of the following experiences, skills, and personal attributes.
• Experience with LEMP stack and DevOps in and Agile / Scrum based software development environment
• Experience building and enhancing web applications on the Wordpress platform.
• Mastery of PHP and MySQL.
• Mastery of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with Linux and comfort with working within the shell.
• Experience with code versioning, knowledge of optimization techniques for high traffic sites, Grunt, SaSS are required skills.
• Experience with code versioning, knowledge of optimization techniques for high traffic sites and large datasets, OOP, standards compliant coding are required skills.
• Knowledge of AWS, Laravel, and data engineering helpful but not required.
• Eager to learn new skills and grow professionally. Adaptable and resourceful in solving new challenges
• Ability to estimate time and stick to deadlines
• Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an all-remote virtual environment, working effectively via video calls and meetings.

EDUCATION

• A Bachelors or Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field is desirable.

LOCATION

Anywhere in the continental United States as the company operates virtually across approximately 30 states currently. Endgame360 is headquartered in Asheville, NC, but has been a remote workforce since inception. Preference may be given to candidates located in states in which we currently operate: AL, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, or WV. However, we will not automatically disqualify those living elsewhere in the United States.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Fullstack Developer role will report directly to our head of Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

As a Fullstack Developer on the team you will:

• Report directly to our head of Engineering and collaborate with our close-knit technology team.
• Build the front and back end of leading-edge web applications for high-traffic public facing websites in a Wordpress environment
• Work with our Product and Marketing teams to define, scope and develop web and mobile web features.
• Work with our Editorial team to deliver content management tools and UI features.
• Participate in system and platform architecture, as well as cloud-based infrastructure design and management.
• Help take our website to the next level.
• Identify and fix application performance issues.
• Help mentor and oversee the work of junior developers on the team, and assist in educating non-tech team members on different aspects of technology as needed
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience as needed.
• Quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques as needed.
• Assist with code releases where needed, including rolling and testing.
• Work 100% remotely. Collaborate fluidly and effectively across an all-remote workforce.

COMPENSATION

Base annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000, plus bonus, based on experience and qualifications.
