Full Stack Software Engineer at Ciena

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Ciena will be looking to you to evangelize open-source cloud development! In addition to utilizing your in-depth experience in cloud technologies and web application frameworks, you’ll drive the implementation of quality products, ensuring an exemplary customer experience.

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline coupled with proven experience as a Software Engineer.
• Expertise in JavaScript and at least one front-end framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue) and Python, Django, Flask or other current backend framework.
• In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and CSS Preprocessors (less/sass).
• Demonstrated commitment to creating self-contained, reusable, testable modules and components.
• Experience writing production quality code, preferably in a product-based company.

How You Will Contribute:

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Ciena will be looking to you to evangelize open-source cloud development! In addition to utilizing your in-depth experience in cloud technologies and web application frameworks, you’ll drive the implementation of quality products, ensuring an exemplary customer experience. This role will afford you the opportunity to make a significant impact while helping the team deliver on business next-generation web applications.

• You will have ownership of projects from software design through to implementation and deployment.
• You will collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams within an Agile DevOps development environment to realize product deliverables.
• You will architect, develop and test highly interactive web applications and reusable components using current web technologies and frameworks.

Experience visualizing data using D3, WebGL, Three.js, or other innovative technologies.

Experience in any Python, Pandas, Pydantic, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenAPI
