Full Stack Django Engineer at WisdomTree

We are looking for an outstanding Full Stack Django Engineer to join the Technology team, reporting to the Head of Application Development and Digital Assets Technology.

Experience and Required skill set:

• Strong knowledge and experience in Python, Django, & Django Rest Framework
• Strong knowledge and experience in SQL
• Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript/HTML/CSS
• Experience in producing end-to-end digital products working closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts
• Proficient with Agile methodologies using Confluence and JIRA
• Proficient with Git (GitHub or BitBucket)
• Proficient with cloud technologies and deployment (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and a love for architecture, UX, and code.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and agile team environment
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) is a plus
• Experience in Finance and Digital Assets is a plus

WisdomTree is currently seeking a Full Stack Django Engineer to join our Technology and Digital Assets team.

WisdomTree is a global financial innovator and leading provider of exchange-traded products (ETPs), models and solutions. WisdomTree is leveraging the latest financial infrastructure to create products that provide access, transparency and an enhanced user experience. Building on our heritage of innovation, we are developing next-generation digital products and structures, including digital funds and tokenized assets, as well as our blockchain-native digital wallet, WisdomTree Prime™. Working across digital assets, tokenization and blockchain-enabled finance, our Digital Assets team is dedicated to building products and solutions to accelerate growth for the firm.

We are looking for an outstanding Full Stack Django Engineer to join the Technology team, reporting to the Head of Application Development and Digital Assets Technology. This role will be focused on the development of backend services and administrative UIs powering both internal processes and client facing mobile experiences. Our team operates as a flat, hands-on organization and we’re looking for someone with the right technology chops to come in and quickly make an impact.

Success in this role would be observed by:

• Be a fully integrated member of the Technology and Product teams in all phases of development from definition through implementation, debugging, testing and deployment.
• Develop backend services and administrative UIs working closely with the end-user mobile app developers
• Participate in the user-driven evolution of a mobile product with a complex backend
• Participate in estimating and planning development sprints
• Participate in technical design decisions focusing on functionality, flexibility, and scalability
• Stay well informed of current technology and product trends in the financial and digital assets space.

Experience and Required skill set:

$115 - $125 a year

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 – $125,000. In addition, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and competitive benefits package. Total compensation may vary based on factors such as location, role, company, department, experience and individual performance.
