Front-End Software Developer at Better Earth

We are looking for a Front-end Software Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.

Qualifications:

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, particularly React/NextJS
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Working knowledge of version control and Git
• Strong English communication skills
• Tailwind CSS (highly preferred)
• TypeScript (highly preferred)
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS (highly preferred)

Position Summary

We are looking for a Front-end Software Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Front-end Developer will work with the systems and development teams and company stakeholders to bridge the gap between operational needs and technical execution. Front-end Developer will work closely with the Director of Software Development and backend developer to maintain existing custom applications and implement new features and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and written feature requests
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Integrate with 3rd party APIs and other company systems
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs as they arise

$90,000 - $130,000/year

Compensation is based on experience and market rate.
