Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years direct experience working with enterprise-level Email service provider platforms, SFMC preferred
  • 3+ years working with HTML and CSS, & AmpScript for email
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing / Technology, a related field or one of the following SFMC Certifications required (Marketing Cloud Email Specialist/Marketing Cloud Developer)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience to execute end-to-end email operations (Development, QA/Testing and Deployment) with little or no supervision by collaborating with multiple creative agencies and internal key stakeholders
  • Experience in rendering and testing across email clients and devices through Litmus or a similar email rendering tool
  • Knowledge of email marketing systems and workflow tools (such as Jira/Confluence)
  • Working knowledge of Server-Side JavaScript & APIs
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer will work with business partners, digital teams, business analysts, brand marketing, and database management teams to define, develop & activate SFMC solutions that support initiatives and campaigns which drive business results and the customer experience.

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Marketing, this role will be responsible for managing technical aspects of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) including managing segmentation, design/build of customer journeys, loading creative, tagging, utilizing AmpScript, and applying data personalization in order to customize communications for best results. This position requires a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated. Someone who can manage multiple tasks and projects at one time. They will need to work well in a collaborative work environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain core marketing operations processes and best practices to support collaboration and communication among the marketing and operations teams
  • Effectively build out customer journeys using journey builder, automations, and triggered emails
  • Follows the Salesforce Campaign Operations process to design, build and test campaigns in the platform
  • Partner with data providers, analytics teams, IT partners, and various marketers to design, develop and maintain critical marketing metrics to enable data driven decision making
  • Maintain and manage naming conventions, organizational expectations, versioning, assets, relational tables, channel specific standards and deployment components
  • Ensure campaigns are compliant with latest requirements to best manage opt outs, suppressions, etc.
  • Establishing and consistently executing high quality assurance processes that reduce the likelihood of errors and ensure consistency and quality of results
  • Maintain best-in-class standards for CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email compliance regulations
  • Create well-documented SOPs, while helping to optimize workflows and solutions for the email operations team

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling and Queries inside of Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Coding HTML, CSS, AmpScript
  • Supporting Projects from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Stay up to date with industry trends including: deliverability, send frequency, subject line testing and best-in-class creative approaches
  • Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understand and enforce the brand guidelines for assigned work
  • Comfortably handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions

Travel Requirements

Travel required to work with platform vendors, agency partners and regional business partners to receive and provide training and support for prioritized business initiatives. – up to 10%
