Requirements:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification
• Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure on AWS
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js)
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile Scrum methodologies
• Agile Scrum Certification or 3+ years of relevant experience
• Deep expertise in Jira, creating forms and product documentation.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects in parallel.
• Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects.
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experienced in working with stakeholders to manage their expectations and engaging them to address project issues.
• Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Math, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate complex technical material in a brief and clear manner to a range of audiences.

Univers Tech (univers.tech) is an early-stage start-up seeking to build a more connected world. Currently, we are working on an exciting fintech application that will streamline the management of personal finances. We are looking to bring onboard a self-motivated team member to own two vital aspects of our company: DevOps and Project Management. As a DevOps Engineer and Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects and apply your project management proficiency across different stages of the SDLC, and specifically support the execution of the projects from a DevOps / AWS perspective. The right candidate will facilitate the delivery of successful projects that are on-time and meet or exceed project objectives. This role not only requires technical analytical skills and critical thinking, but also a creative mind and people skills. In addition, you will assist with product documentation and be the Jira SME, creating and automating forms and workflows to increase efficiency.

If you're an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer and / or a certified Scrum Master, with extensive experience in Jira and Agile Scrum project management, who wants to help create and build something that has an obvious and significant impact, then you might have just found the right opportunity. In this role, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure, including network, security, and deployment
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment
• Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
• Implement and enforce best practices for security, compliance, and performance
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve our DevOps practices
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with management, project sponsors, product owners, architects, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, continuously manage objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery.
• Lead project execution and delivery and help project teams maintain an overall project vision with supporting project plans.
• Refine project execution approach using project management standards and best practices.
• Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path items, and project risks.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential roadblocks, and devise contingency plans.
• Develop and deliver progress reports to management and other stakeholder including issue/action item logs, project status, and risks.
• Conduct post-project reviews and make recommendations for continuous excellence in project execution and delivery.
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
