We are looking to add a Junior DevOps to our team to further enhance our capabilities and sustain delivery excellence to our clients.
Qualifications and Education:
What You Bring to Karsun: Required
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline
- 1-2+ years of DevOps experience including setting up CI/CD pipelines
- 1+ years of AWS based DevOps experience utilizing a mix of AWS services and CI/CD tools
- 1+ years of build automation experience through Jenkins
- Have written scripts or built applications in Python/Bash
- Experience with Ansible scripting
- The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
Desired
- Experience working with open source monitoring and metrics tools
- Full end-to-end understanding of CI/CD pipeline and how to assess them from a security point of view
- Ability to employ best practices in an enterprise scale continuous delivery environment and harden production deployments
- Understanding of security concepts, best practices and how to apply them, such as SSH, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption
- 1+ year of demonstrated experience of applying SRE to managing and monitoring CI/CD environments
Description
We are looking to add a Junior DevOps to our team to further enhance our capabilities and sustain delivery excellence to our clients.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Do:
- Work on the DevOps Toolchain, which includes Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube and Git and various software repositories and build management tools. The candidate will assist team members with moving their legacy systems into automated deployment model.
- Building secure infrastructures on-prem and AWS using the chosen toolchain for software supply chain security, database, middleware and product installation/configuration/upgrades including virtualization, build automation, code scanning and configuration management tools.
- Applying SRE principles and practices to constantly and consistently enhance the reliability and performance of all existing CI/CD and other automation tools and utilities.
- Infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, storage management, network management, virtualization – in on-prem, AWS and hybrid scenarios.
- Creating automated CI/CD pipelines and automating all aspects of infrastructure
- Maintaining an inventory of all automation jobs and artifacts
- Proactively monitoring and providing weekly/monthly reports on automation tool reliability and performance metrics
