DevOps Engineer II at Sorenson Communications, LLC

We need one to Familiarity with SQL database types and document database like Dynamo DB is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Well versed with Git Actions build and release automation tools
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Experience with other languages such as Node.js, Python, and C# a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of the network, compute, and storage systems in AWS
• Well versed with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53, Network Load Balancer, RDS
• Familiarity with SQL database types and document database like Dynamo DB is a plus
• Knowledge in PowerShell is a plus
• Must demonstrate a history of successfully delivering high quality software products from inception to market.
• Ability to deliver scalable and highly available applications via AWS
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, including containers, autoscaling, and serverless systems.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft platform (IIS, .NET, Web Services, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows Server, Clustering, Active Directory)
• Experience deploying multiple application types, including .NET Framework, .NET Core, etc.
• Experience with work item tracking tools such as Jira

• Minimum/Preferred Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience CI/CD, DevOps experience with good understanding on Software configuration Management
• Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components.
• Ability to sit at workstation for long periods of time completing testing, documentation, or other assignments.
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Engineering, and IT colleagues to provide streamlined CI/CD solutions
• Automate repetitive & manual tasks and improve operational maturity with our CI/CD systems
• Develop scripts and automation tools to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Install and configure applications and underlying software infrastructure
• Provide tool awareness and services to help teams manage and deploy releases into various environments.
• Scale systems through automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and performance
• Schedule, coordinate and manage releases across the enterprise for multiple applications, including updates, security improvements, projects, and programs.
• Maintain build and release services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
• Provide leadership in the development and architecture of systems using serverless and container technologies to enable modernization in AWS cloud-based services.
