DevOps Engineer at Fusion Connect

We need one to develop software acceptance criteria, automation tools (test and deployment), test/evaluation procedures, and cross-system integration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Strong Python programming skills
• Strong knowledge of APIs. (REST, WebSocket)
• Working knowledge of interacting databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, etc).
• Knowledge of routing and switching.
• Knowledge of Linux Operating systems.
• Knowledge of .NET (C#).
• Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Gitlab, BitBucket)
• Experience working CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with JIRA Software
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JS.
• Excellent Oral & Written Communication skills
• Software Development experience with multiple delivered responsive portals in Angular
• Good interpersonal skills/Ability to work with multiple departments
• Ability to perform with a sense of urgency
• Good Process/Documentation skills
• Experience with container and microservices architecture preferred (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher, etc)

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. Relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience coding software integration projects and web applications
• Experience in Angular framework
• Telecommunication service provider industry experience preferred

Job Description:

• Translates operational requirements into software requirements, designs, and implementations.
• Comfortable writing/reviewing both front-end and back-end coding languages.
• Develops software acceptance criteria, automation tools (test and deployment), test/evaluation procedures, and cross-system integration.
• Review applications/source codes.
• Participate in research and development projects including new technologies, development of standards for network implementation of new platforms, automating the production of publishing, training, internet, and multimedia projects
• Help establish and document best practices for web code implementation
