Our candidate for this role will have:

• Bachelor’s degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
• 0-3 years work experience as a developer or relevant technical/business experience
• Microsoft C# or Python experience preferred
• Practical knowledge of T-SQL or PL-SQL
• Understanding of DevOps practices/concepts
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Command Line, or Bash
• Practical knowledge of fundamental object-oriented programming (OOP) practices
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skill sets
• Ability to facilitate inclusive conversations and effectively communicate

Description

The role of a Developer on the IT Operations team is to actively participate in the planning, design, development and support activities related to systems and integrations. This technical hands-on position requires proven development skills, excellent communication skills, problem solving ability, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality deliverables. This role will be focused primarily on developing scalable solutions to integrate a variety of internal Operations applications as well as allow us to better communicate with our external cloud vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Delivery:

• Writes code or configures software based upon technical designs
• Individual contributor for development tasks on large projects
• Publish technical specifications and support documentation
• Follow documented standards for development, code promotion, and change management
• Learn and apply new technology

Application Support:

• Provide troubleshooting and resolutions for software issues
• Executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support existing business processes
• Follows defined support call paths including status updates in case management tool
