Dev Ops Engineer at Rancho BioSciences LLC
Rancho Biosciences, a certified Great Place to Work in 2022, is seeking a remote DevOps engineer with strong knowledge of cloud technologies to modify existing and build new solutions to support scientific data and information storage, access, and integration.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience building DevOps automation for infrastructure and applications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud specific technologies, preferably with AWS tech stack
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, Masters preferred
- Prefer cloud (AWS) certifications
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of technologies, including but not limited to Kubernetes, Containers (Docker), lxc/lxd, Git, Terraform, serverless computing
- Strong bash scripting skills, and familiarity with the Linux command line
- Show deep understanding of a variety of automation approaches and tools
- Experience deploying/migrating/configuring automated data pipelines in the cloud
- Ability to administer, monitor and develop disaster recovery strategies for data systems and applications
- Strong experience using all aspects of AWS cloud offerings
- Experience with data lake or data warehouse development
- Solid understanding of various standards, frameworks, and methodologies
- Ability to partner with complex business functions to understand current and future needs and create clear deliverables
- Strong attention to details
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Demonstrated experience with teamwork and collaboration amongst multiple teams
- Must understand sense of urgency and have prioritization skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Must be flexible and willing to change with quick turnarounds
