Your Role

• You’ll be an integral part of our IT support team and will be responsible for delivering multiple projects on time and with clear communication. DS is a data driven company and we believe that good data begets good data. You will have three key areas of responsibility.
• Your data enhancement efforts are the foundational events which allow DS to improve services and features. Innovation or services and features is a hallmark of DS growth and influence. Enhancement of data clarifies thinking, sparks innovation, and exposes opportunities for adding what is missing at DS.
• Your machine teaching efforts are foundational events to improve DS proprietary AI software. Our AI software is integral to the transformation of physical documents into digitally searchable data.
• Your data migration efforts are foundational events to incorporate digital and physical data sets. Our data migration from external sources into the DS system is critical to the integrity of DS data management, protection of PII, and efficient access by clients to their academic records.

Your Team

You will be working with the IT team, reporting to the IT Director who will assign analysis projects in support of the entire team. You will be responsible for owning the DS culture, enhancing data quality, and gathering new data sets.

As a Data Analyst you will also build and maintain relationships with various DS user groups and provide consulting on various DS processes and services.

Responsibilities

• Enhance Data Quality
• Identify issues with poor data quality.
• Automate corrections to data.
• Manually correct remaining data.
• Document processes: that identify issues; the automated corrections of data; and the manual tasks for correcting data that is outside the scope of automated processes.
• Repeat.
• Machine Teacher
• Train the AI software how to read templates by identifying the location of key information on scanned documents.
• Document machine teaching processes.
• Data Migration
• Coordinate meetings and information gathering between DS and outside groups..
• Communicate shipment sizes and timing.
• Create ad-hoc data migrations for new data sets.
• Document data migration request processes.
