Data Analyst at Acxiom

The candidate will need to collaborate with resources across different areas of the business - delivery, data science, and data sourcing to complete objectives.

What you will need:

• Quick learner with strong critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented
• Experience with data manipulation, reporting and analytical tools such as SAS, R, Tableau, Altureyx. Experience with Acxiom tools, OPUS, a plus.
• Good communication skills; including flow charting, project planning and project documentation
• Experience analyzing first or third party data in a marketing database.
• Degree in Statistics, Data Quality, Data & Analytics, IS, Business, Math or related field with 3+ years’ experience
• Experience writing and running SQL and generating reports; SAS experience is ideal.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience in building datasets and analyzing data; experience working with unstructured data

Description

The Data Analyst will work independently to prepare data to be used for building models. This role requires an individual who is detail oriented and has experience working with a variety of different types of datasets and data types. The candidate will need to collaborate with resources across different areas of the business - delivery, data science, and data sourcing to complete objectives. This role will communicate directly with vendors on data requirements. Communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving are key skills that will make the candidate successful. This position reports to the Director for Engineering/Data Science. The Candidate will manage data from 10 to 15 different vendors and support the uses of vendor data across several teams. Areas of focus include - auditing data, establishing appropriate procedures, preparing documentation, evaluating new sources, establishing communications with vendors, generating reports, and pulling custom datasets for new use cases.
