We need one to Maintains the integrity, availability, and uptime of systems both virtual and physical, to ensure Carle can provide continuous patient care.


Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Experience in Lieu of Education - Five (5) years experience administrating IT systems

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Three (3) years of experience in managing and maintaining cloud technologies. Also, experience with monitoring and reporting on these systems is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to work on projects both independently and in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot issues within all aspects of Information Technology. Ability to deal with a rapid, fast-paced, and changing environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Required skills including, sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision making skills. Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time, and able to manage ongoing operational issues with longer term strategic work.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains the integrity, availability, and uptime of systems both virtual and physical, to ensure Carle can provide continuous patient care.
  • Responsible for rapid and efficient day-to-day problem analysis and resolution techniques.
  • Interfaces with customers, many of whom are a part of a very complex, integrated network that spans the Carle enterprise as well as external customers.
  • Monitors Systems routinely to optimize operating efficiency and maintain uptime.
  • Works with other Information Technology groups to coordinate systems creation, configuration, upgrades, performance, disaster recovery, tuning, and usage reporting.
  • Configure and support cloud architectures.
  • Responsible for the configuration and architecture of cloud hosted solutions such as but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Actively provides customer service, trouble-shooting and risk mitigation support/expertise for client software and projects. (Outlook, Skype, Teams)
  • Ensures that cloud hosted systems are configured in a secure manor to protect Carle private data.
  • Conduct routine tasks as directed.
  • Document new processes as required.
  • Resolve or reassign trouble tickets and work orders in a timely manner to meet service level agreements.
  • Maintain knowledge of new cloud technologies.


Description

Position Summary:

Under general direction, the Cloud Engineer works as a member of a team to manage the organizations cloud based systems and processes. Serves as Cloud services/architecture subject matter expert for the system. Supports teams assessing/mitigating risks on projects. This includes setting up architectures with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and others. Responsibilities also include managing existing cloud based systems, migrations of on premises resources to cloud, managing security and access of cloud based systems, and ongoing operational administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Works independently on selected tasks and projects as assigned. Ensures platform stability, availability, and reliability of the systems implemented into the test, development, and production environments. Specific deliverables include daily ticket/work request handling, and alert monitoring and resolution. Responsible for documenting all supported systems.
