Backend Developer - Ruby on Rails at LEAFWELL

We are currently looking for a Backend Developer with proficient experience with Ruby on Rails. While this is a remote position, we are looking for candidates in Portugal or Brazil.

Requirements:

• Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Experience
• The Backend Developer will perform and should have experience in the following:
• Proven Track record of designing and developing new web and mobile applications
• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM
• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code
• Experience working with ruby on rails as well as libraries like Resque and RSpec
• Integrating data storage solutions - MySQL, PostgresSQL
• Creating backend components.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Integrating user-facing elements designed by the frontend team.
• Connecting applications with additional web servers.
• Maintaining APIs

Education

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant professional work experience
